Founded in 1997, Actelion successfully completed an IPO on the Swiss new market stock exchange with a record valuation of CHF 1.2 billion in April 2000.

CDC innovation invested at the pre-IPO stage in December 1999 and made a 20 time multiple on its initial investment.
