Before joining CDC [in 2009], Florian was the CFO of Paris-based DBV Technologies, biotech company specialised in allergy diagnosis and treatment. Prior to that, he worked for 4 years at Apax Partners in Paris, one of the leading venture capital and private equity firms in Europe with over €2 billion
under management. As part of the healthcare team, he invested across all stages of company maturity, from start-ups in the biotech and medtech fields, to growth capital and large buy-outs in the healthcare services field.

Previously Florian was an equity analyst at Schroder Salomon Smith Barney (Citigroup) covering the pan-European medtech and healthcare services
sectors as part of a team that was consistently ranked as one of the top two in Europe. Prior to that he was a doctor working in the UK’s National Health
Service (Accident + Emergency and Internal Medicine).

Florian holds a medical degree from Imperial College London and a BA(hons) in Physiology from Oxford University.
